The event will feature wedding exhibitors from all over the county showing off what they have to offer. There will be numerous door prizes along with the chance to win a free rental of the beautiful Lake Eva Banquet Hall for your big day.

A bridal fashion show will display the latest styles up for grabs.

The event will be held at Lake Eva Banquet Hall from 1 - 5 p.m.

Power outage caused by rotting power pole

Bartow, Florida -- Utilities officials with Bartow Electric said a brief outage Thursday was caused by a Progress Energy pole cross-arm that rotted and broke-off.

The outage, confined to Bartow's Southeast section, lasted about 45 minutes between 1:30 and 2:15 Thursday afternoon, according to Bradley Hiers, Bartow's Safety and Training Superintendent.

Hiers said Progress energy was able to re-rout the electric feed to the area, and will make the repair to the cross-arm at some time in the near future.

Bartow, Florida -- Whether you're a seasoned critic or art novice, you can enjoy a free art exhibition Wednesday in Bartow!

The opening reception takes place between 5 and 7 p.m. at Carolyn's Art Gallery, 395 East Summerlin Street in Bartow.

Artistic samples on display include works by Gary Baker, Vilas Tonape, Beverly Williams, and David Woods.

The exhibit will remain on display until April 20.
