Clearwater Beach, Florida - 10 News found several ways for you and your family to have a blast at Walt Disney World without breaking the bank.

Two weeks after Universal Orlando Resort became the first Orlando theme park to break the $90 threshold for a single-day, single-park ticket, Walt Disney World Resort has announced adult admission to the Magic Kingdom will increase $6, to $95 ($89 ages 3-9).

Polk County, Florida-- The Polk County Sheriff's Office is seeking locals who have a love for volunteering and serving the community, and an interest in working alongside deputies to make a difference.

In the release below, officials have included information on their Volunteer Sheriff's Service Office program (VSSO), in which participants will undergo 80 hours of training in both the classroom and the field to contribute to the county:

"Bikes for badges" event at WingHouse in Lakeland

Lakeland, Florida-- On Saturday, June 15, 2013, Sheriff Grady Judd and members of the Polk County Sheriff's Office along with the Bubba the Love Sponge crew will be at the WingHouse of Lakeland, 4515 South Florida Avenue, for another "Bikes for Badges" charity event.

This event is hosted by the BTLS Foundation, the WingHouse, and other sponsors. All proceeds will benefit the family of PCSO Master Deputy Sheriff Shane Robbins, who was killed in the line of duty on April 26, 2013.

Polk School District delays eye scanning of bus riding students

Bartow, Florida -- Two companies have offered a Bay area school district a chance to test the latest in student security systems for free -- but when it came time to roll out the plan to parents, that's when it all went horribly wrong.

The Polk County School District put on hold a high-tech pilot program that would have identified students getting on and off the bus using an eye scanning identification system after parents complained when they weren't given the option to opt out.

Lake Sears boat ramp closure

Bartow, Florida -- Polk County Parks & Natural Resources is replacing the boat ramp at Lake Sears.

The ramp will be closed Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 14, weather permitting. The new boat ramp will correct reoccurring maintenance issues and be more functional in low water conditions.

Lake Sears boat ramp is located at 100 Lake Sears Drive in Winter Haven.
