Polk County, Florida-- Friday April13, began the third and final part in the "Legends & Legacies" Symposium at Fantasy of Flight.
"Unspoken Valor: The Bomber Crews of World War II” event will continue tomorrow, Saturday, April 14..
The event features members of World War II bomber crews as they recount their experiences from inside the bomber aircrafts.
According to the release, the brave veterans field questions about WWII bombers, including the B-25 Mitchell, the B-17 Flying Fortress and the B-24 Liberator and the amazing strengths, but also potentially catastrophic weaknesses, of these aircrafts.
In addition to hearing their stories, attendees can walk through an authentic B-17 Flying Fortress, and see the fierce P-51 Mustang, the fighter escort for the B-17, up close.
To take take advantage of this event, head to Fantasy of Flight, 1400 Broadway Blvd., S.E., Polk City, between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 14.
Adult admission costs $28.95, and admission for children ages 6-15 costs $14.95. Children 5 and younger enter free with a full paying adult.
