Walt Disney World Prize Patrol honors two students | Events
Bartow, Florida-- On April 3, two Polk County students were surprised by the Walt Disney World Prize Patrol as they were named Disney Dreamers and Doers Shining Stars.
Wendell Watson Elementary school 5th grader, Tye Harrell, and Harrison School for the Arts 12th grader, Kiersten Nelson, were each visited by Mickey Mouse himself and his Prize Patrol team.
According to a Polk County Public School release, the Disney Dreamer and Doer Shining Star honors students who have overcome incredible personal challenges, or who have shown exceptional effort in helping family members live better lives.
Mickey Mouse presented each student with an invitation to the Disney Kids and Nature Celebration conference taking place April 12-14.
