Pet Fest 2011 | Events

The Polk County Sheriff’s Animal Control Section is once again hosting its annual Pet Fest on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Not only are adoption fees discounted to $25 (a savings of $140!!!) on all pets the day of the event, if you already have a pet, vaccinations will be offered at $5 each and microchips are discounted to $15. The Home Again pet recovery service will have a same day microchip registration booth on site, and pet clinics will be held throughout the day.  
 
Several vendors will be on site with food and activities for families, children of all ages, and pets, along with demonstrations by the PCSO K-9 Unit, Crime Prevention, and Support Services.  Mr. and Mrs. Claus will also be there, ready to take photos with families and pets.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the facility, located on 7115 De Castro Road in Winter Haven, just off the Polk Parkway near the Polk County landfill.
 
If you are interested in adopting one of the many deserving animals in our facility, you may prequalify for adoption by completing the “Pre-Adoption Screening Form”.
