Wing Fling Tour raises money for Humane Society of Polk Co.

Polk County, Florida -- The Wing Fling Tour is back on Sept. 29 with its one-of-a-kind tasting tour charity event benefiting the Humane Society of Polk County.

Participants of the Wing Fling Tour will fly around Polk County in luxury coach buses sampling some of the best chicken wings at nine restaurants around town. One of the stops on the tour this year will include the The Humane Society of Polk County giving people the chance to tour the facility, play games, and sample wings from BubbaChuck's BBQ.

McDonald's offers free FCAT breakfasts Monday morning

Tampa, Florida-- According to a recent release, more than 800 McDonald's restaurants in the state of Florida will provide a free breakfast to students on April 16, the first day of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT).

Students in grades three-11 can enjoy a complimentary Egg McMuffin, Apple Slices, and a low-fat milk or orange juice from any of the 188 McDonald's restaurants in the Tampa Bay area.

Be sure to get there between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. to take advantage of this offer!

Bartow, FL -- Good food for a good cause is available this Tuesday for a discount!

Today, Nov. 15, from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m., Abuelo's at Lakeside Village will be holding a benefit night for TiAnViCa.

TiAnViCa provides recreational therapeutic riding for individuals with disabilities. Each week, they work with over 30 children, youth and adults.

Wing Fling Tour to benefit Humane Society of Polk Co.

Winter Haven, FL -- Today & Tonight Magazine will host the First Annual Wing Fling Tour 2011 Saturday, Sept. 24.

The Wing Fling Tour will fly around Polk County in luxury coach buses so that participants can sample some of the best chicken wings in town in a charity event to benefit The Humane Society of Polk County.

Eight locations have pulled together to help raise money for the Humane Society of Polk County through food & fun. The tour is $35 per person with registration 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. at the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce on their breezeway, 401 Avenue B, NW, Winter Haven and the tour runs from 10:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. All seats must be reserved in advance at www.DontBeChicken.net.

After the bus tours have completed their way around the county, an After Party hosted by Tanner's Pub in downtown Winter Haven will take place on their outside patio from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with live music from AcousticDose, raffle give-a-ways and more.

Mulberry, Florida - It's a family affair over at Carter's Bar-B-Que, with everyone helping to produce some great tasting comfort food. From Oxtail served with collard greens to some sweet and tangy pork ribs smothered in great tasting barbecue sauce.

Johnny Carter Jr. fired up his grill nine years ago, working alongside his family brings alot of pleasure to this man.

Carter's is a drive-thru and pick up window kind of place, though they do have some picnic tables on the side of the building.

Bartow, FL -- The Stanford Inn in Bartow is now accepting reservations for a romantic dinner for two at the "555 Stanford".

The "555 Stanford", a fine dining restaurant located at the inn, is offering two seatings starting on Feb. 11 & 12 and then again on Valentine's Day at 6 p.m. & 8 p.m.

Seating is limited and advance reservations are suggested on Feb. 11 & 12 and required on Feb. 14.

The menu includes a 4-course meal with the regular menu also available on Feb. 11 & 12.
