Live in Polk County? May is the time to save at Legoland Florida

Winter Haven, Florida -- Splash and play for a lot less at Legoland Florida during some weekends in May if you live in Polk County.

During Polk County Residents' Days at the theme park, you can buy up to six tickets in advance for just $25. The tickets get you admission to both Legoland Florida and the Legoland Water Park.

Plus, a portion of each ticket sold goes toward helping children in Polk County.

One class took place yesterday, but as pictured above, residents can still catch classes on March 18 and April 15.

Winter Haven, Florida -- Bartow seniors who want to take advantage of an opportunity to become acquainted with yoga for free can look into the Silver Sneakers YOGA Stretch in Winter Haven this Thursday at 9 a.m.

According to the website "WebMD":

"Yoga has been practiced for more than 5,000 years, and currently, close to 11 million Americans are enjoying its health benefits. Yoga can hardly be called a trend."

Bartow starts week with plunging gas prices

Bartow, FL -- It's the second day into th work week, and by now, you probablly noticed a steep drop in fuel prices in the Bartow area.

Retail gasoline prices all over the Southeast decreased another 12 cents a gallon from last week.

Good news, too. Pump prices are expected to continue their decline even as Hurricane Sandy threatens the East Coast.

"While motorists would expect gas prices to surge with Hurricane Sandy headed for the East Coast, the storm has not yet caused prices to spike," said Jessica Brady, AAA spokeswoman, The Auto Club Group in Tampa.
